Welp! We unfortunately didn't win the Showcase semi-final, but we had a really, really good time anyway, and would like to thank everyone (jeez, there were so many of you!) who made it down to enjoy the night with us. Thanks, all! We'll see you again soon... with a brand new EP.

Merry August, everyone! Escape Story have a busy few weeks ahead of them, and all for you lovely people: we'll be on Rant on the Radio on Sunday 24th August for starters, so tune in to Express FM 93.7 to hear us jabber on about the band's past, present and future as well as to have a listen to the tracks from Kiri Kiri...; we'll also be playing at Waster (at Envy nightclub in Portsmouth) on the night of Thursday 28th August, so be sure to make it down for that - if you follow THIS LINK you can even guestlist yourself so you not only get in for free but also get your first Mojito on the house! Snazzy, eh?
Furthermore, we've finally confirmed our date for the Showcase 08 semi-final to be Tuesday 2nd September. We're up against some stiff competition, which gives you 'Awesomer Bands Than Usual' to add to the list of reasons to come on down and help us get through to the final. Bad news, folks: Rock Fest @ The Front, as well as the rest of the Southsea Summer Show, has been entirely cancelled due to health and safety violations. Sheesh! Still, while that would have been rather fantastic, we'd also like to thank everyone who came down to the Rifle Club gig last night, as you truly made the event worthwhile. Ta!

Escape Story emerged as the victors in their heat of Showcase 08! We'd like to profusely thank everybody who came down to support us, as well as the other bands who played; it truly was a fantastic night!
In other news, ES have just been picked up as late additions to the ROCK FEST stage at the Southsea Summer Festival! Details evade us right now, but we'll keep you all posted as soon as we have the skinny.

Don't worry folks, we're still alive - we've just taken some time out from gigging to write some new material and record some songs for an EP! We're currently and tentatively mixing the tracks for the long-awaited Kiri Kiri... whilst arranging several new songs with which to blow you away once we triumphantly return to the live circuit upon everything's completion.

Well, 2008 is at last upon us! And what a year it shall be; already, Escape Story have played what was arguably their best and most successful show to date at the Wedgewood Rooms in Portsmouth, and are finally beginning their ventures into the wider world with a gig at the Joiners Arms venue in Southampton on February 3rd. Wish us luck; it'll be London, New York and Tokyo next!

Ho ho ho, it's finally December! Escape Story will be taking a break from gigging over the festive season to finally get off our arses to record the new EP, Kiri Kiri..., but we'd like to thank everyone who attended our show at FILO in Winchester, as we had a damn good time playing to a (mostly) new audience, and we'd also like to invite everyone to start the new year with us playing Wedge once more on January 13th - see the gigs page for more information!

Thanks to all who came to see us at Havana on Saturday! It was the most fun we've had in ages, and certainly the best audience we've played to so far. Playing an encore was better than any other kind of self-gratification we've tried, too - cheers!
